INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk appreciates your willingness to volunteer at one of our numerous construction work sites. Donations and volunteer labor make it possible for Habitat to build interest free affordable houses for low-income families. Without people like you, Habitat could not continue to make a difference in people’s lives. You help us make a dream come true. If you are interested in volunteering on a worksite and wish to find out if individual walk-on volunteer space is available - please call the office (631-924-4966) anytime & listen to the information provided on extension 225 for Saturday availability & which worksite to go to. Maps can be found here. Please note that during the months of March, April & early May our “Student Build” takes place 5 days a week and all of our work sites are closed to walk – on volunteers. If you are interested in booking a “Sponsor for a Day” for a group, please contact Kathy@habitatsuffolk.org or see our Corporate Giving page . Women Build The Women Build program is truly a wonderful experience. Most of our women volunteers who come out for the first time have never swung a hammer before in their lives! Habitat supplies all of the tools and materials for the day and will have several women leader's there to guide all of our volunteers. Anyone with little or no construction experience will be taught everything they need to know. This year's Women Build project is sponsored by Lowe's, The Roslyn Savings Foundation, and the National Association of Women in Construction in East Patchogue in May. E-mail volunteer@habitatsuffolk.org for more information on being part of our Women Build program! We will be working on installing dry wall on July 24 and August 7.
