Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk opened the doors to its ReStore to the public on September 04, 2002. The ReStore's first "tag sale" response from shoppers was overwhelmingly positive. People commented that shopping the cozy, but well organized store is pleasant experience and that they are pleasantly surprised by the quality of merchandise and great bargains to be found there. Is the Suffolk ReStore open to the public?
Yes! Anyone is welcome to shop at the Suffolk ReStore. Click here for the Directions.
What does the Suffolk ReStore sell?
Items for the home may consist of but are not limited to: cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, hardware, furniture, roofing, carpet, tools, trim, doors, lumber, flooring, and windows. Check back often, our inventory changes frequently! Please, visit the Items Accepted section for more details.
How are the items priced at the Suffolk ReStore?
Materials are sold to the public at 50 - 75% off the retail price.
Where do items come from?
The Suffolk ReStore accepts new and used building-related materials from contractors, suppliers, individuals, remodelers and property managers.
How often do you get new merchandise?
Our inventory changes often - we are receiving new items weekly, if not daily.
What donations CAN the Suffolk ReStore accept?

What donations the Suffolk ReStore CAN NOT accept?
The Suffolk ReStore CAN NOT accept: Blinds, Broken glass or mirrors, Used carpet or padding, Open or partial cans of paint, Paint thinner or other hazardous or toxic chemicals, Most furniture, Television sets, Mirror doors.
How do I go about donating an item?
If you have good, reusable or new materials, they can be dropped off anytime during business hours. For large donations that won't fit in your car, email us at email@example.com. Questions? Give us a call at

Will you pick items up?
Our pick up service for large donations is FREE! If you are scheduling a pick-up, we ask that you clean and uninstall donations before we arrive. All donations must be accessible by our truck. Drivers are not permitted to enter your home. Emailing photos of items is always helpful!
Where do the proceeds from the sales go?
Proceeds from Habitat Suffolk’s ReStore support the building of affordable homes in Suffolk County.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
Your donation may be tax deductible, depending on your individual situation. Please consult a tax professional and see this IRS publication for reference.
How can my business get involved?
There are many ways local businesses can contribute: financial donations, equipment donations, sponsor a special event for the Suffolk ReStore, place an ad for or with the Suffolk ReStore, volunteer at the Suffolk ReStore, donate materials to the Suffolk ReStore, or shop at the Suffolk ReStore.
